CAP611 First Aid and Fire Safety

Places available on this course from £120.
2 dates from June 2012 and July 2012.

Introduction

For Commercial Balloon Pilots the CAA require, as stated in CAP611, that ...
"once every three years, flight crew are to attend ground courses on the subjects of basic first-aid and fire safety".
Importantly CAP611 also states that ...
"Good safety management practice indicates that AOC(B) holders’ ground based personnel should undertake three yearly first-aid and fire courses. This will assist an Operator in complying with its duty of care at an unlicensed airfield (launch site) and, in the event of a serious accident whereby it is possible that the pilot may be incapacitated, it is likely that the retrieve crew would be the first to attend the scene."
This course satisfies the CAA CAP611 requirements for first aid and fire safety training for commercial balloon pilots and ground crew as well as being highly advised for recreational balloon pilots and crew.
